Tulane QB TJ Finley suspended after being arrested

Tulane has put a hold on transfer quarterback TJ Finley after he was arrested for having stolen goods.

The New Orleans police took Finley, 23, into custody near the university on Wednesday.

According to court documents obtained by WVUE, Finley was charged with unlawfully possessing a stolen car worth more than $25,000. He claimed that he had recently bought the vehicle in Atlanta.

Finley has been released from jail and suspended by Tulane, which is the fifth school he has attended in six years.

\"We are aware of a situation involving TJ Finley,\" stated Tulane officials. \"He has been suspended from the football program until the case is resolved.\"

Finley, who is from Louisiana, previously played for LSU (2020), Auburn (2021-22), Texas State (2023), and Western Kentucky (2024). He has completed 63.0% of his passes for 6,128 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions in 34 games throughout his career.
