Purdue welcomes back QB Ryan Browne from North Carolina transfer
Quarterback Ryan Browne has chosen to transfer back to Purdue after previously joining North Carolina this offseason.
Browne moved to the Tar Heels in December after spending two years with the Boilermakers. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound quarterback participated in spring practice with new North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick before announcing his decision on social media on Friday.
This came just one day after the Tar Heels secured a commitment from South Alabama transfer quarterback Gio Lopez.
During his time with Purdue, Browne threw for 636 yards and four touchdowns and also rushed for 240 yards in nine games.
He is expected to compete for a starting position at Purdue alongside other transfers such as Malachi Singleton from Arkansas, Evans Chuba from Washington State, and Bennett Meredith, who previously played for Arizona State.
