Georgia's quarterback, Carson Beck, is in search of a program to rehabilitate and strengthen his throwing arm. However, the Bulldogs' future in the College Football Playoff is uncertain due to this position's unclear outlook.

Beck had an impressive performance in the final month of the season, throwing 11 touchdowns and no interceptions. This helped Georgia secure a spot in the SEC Championship. Unfortunately, he injured his throwing arm on the last play of the first half and was replaced by sophomore Gunner Stockton. Stockton had 12 completions out of 16 attempts for 71 yards, but also threw an interception. Despite this, the Bulldogs were able to defeat Texas 22-19 in overtime.

There have been reports that Beck may have suffered damage to the UCL in his right arm, but Georgia has not confirmed this. However, the Bulldogs did announce that punter Brett Thorson, who was also injured in the SEC title game, will be out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

In a statement on Monday, Georgia coach Kirby Smart expressed his confidence in both Beck and Thorson, calling them "fierce competitors" and "extremely hard workers." He also stated that the team will support them throughout their rehabilitation process.

Beck had an impressive senior year in 2024, throwing for 3,485 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He had considered leaving for the NFL last spring but ultimately decided to return to school.

Thorson, a junior from Melbourne, Australia, is a finalist for the Ray Guy Award, which is given to the top punter in college football. He was injured in the third quarter of the SEC Championship while attempting to tackle Texas returner Silas Bolden. Thorson had an average of 47.6 yards per punt with only five touchbacks in 2024.

Smart announced that freshman Drew Miller, who was ranked as the top punter in last year's class, will take over punting duties in the Sugar Bowl.
