The Atlanta Braves made another late-spring addition, acquiring free-agent outfielder Alex Verdugo on a one-year contract worth $1.5 million, according to the New York Post on Thursday.

In the playoffs, Verdugo recorded a .208 batting average with a .622 OPS, one home run, and eight RBIs in 14 games. He also struck out to end the World Series, as the Los Angeles Dodgers secured the 2024 championship.
At 28 years old, Verdugo has a career batting average of .272 with a .742 OPS, 70 home runs, and 316 RBIs in 800 games played for the Dodgers (2017-19), Boston Red Sox (2020-23), and Yankees.
