"Red Bull's Departing Employees Cause Concern for Max Verstappen's Father"
Three-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen's father states that Red Bull Racing "will burst" if it continues to lose crucial employees.
Jos Verstappen, a former F1 driver himself, expresses his worries about the recent departures of key strategist Will Courtenay to McLaren, sporting director Jonathan Wheatley to Audi-Sauber, and design expert Adrian Newey to Aston Martin.
Jos Verstappen believes that the instability under team principal Christian Horner is not sustainable.
"It cannot continue like this. It will burst," Jos Verstappen tells Mail Sport. "There is tension within the team as long as he remains in charge."
Despite not winning in the last eight races, Max Verstappen still leads the F1 drivers' standings and is in a position to win his fourth consecutive world championship. However, his once dominant lead has decreased to 52 points over Lando Norris with six races remaining.
"This is what I warned about," Jos Verstappen tells Motorsport.com.
"The team then says: 'Oh, it doesn't matter, we have someone else who can take on that role.'
"But now there are too many people leaving. And Max is constantly being asked about it. So, I don't think it's good, what's happening at the moment."
