Sabres F Tage Thompson back after missing 5 games
Talented forward Tage Thompson of the Buffalo Sabres will make his return to the rink on Wednesday evening after missing five consecutive games.
Head coach Lindy Ruff has confirmed that Thompson will be back in the lineup for the game against the Minnesota Wild.
The 27-year-old suffered a lower-body injury during a 7-5 defeat to the Montreal Canadiens on November 11th. In Thompson's absence, the Sabres have managed a record of 4-1-0.
So far this season, Thompson has tallied 18 points (leading the team with 11 goals and seven assists) in 16 games.
Throughout his career with the St. Louis Blues (2017-18) and Sabres, Thompson has accumulated 271 points (143 goals, 128 assists) in 388 games. He was selected by St. Louis in the first round (26th overall) of the 2016 draft.
