The newly named Lenovo Center will now be the home of both the Carolina Hurricanes and N.C. State men's basketball team.

On Thursday, the Centennial Authority, the governing body in charge of the arena, approved a 10-year contract for the naming rights of the Lenovo Center. The agreement will commence in September and continue until the 2033-34 NHL season.

Previously known as the PNC Arena, RBC Center, and Raleigh Entertainment and Sports Arena, the building will now bear the name of Lenovo.

Philip Isley, chairman of the Centennial Authority, expressed his excitement for the partnership, stating that it will not only involve renaming the arena, but also integrating technology into upcoming renovations and improvements. He also noted that Lenovo has strong ties to North Carolina and this naming rights agreement will only strengthen them further.

This is a significant day for Raleigh, Wake County, and the entire state of North Carolina.
