"Knights' Late Surge Secures Victory Against Senators in NHL Recap"
Tomas Hertl, Keegan Kolesar and Ivan Barbashev all found the back of the net in the final minutes of the third period on Friday to lead the Vegas Golden Knights to a 6-4 comeback victory over the Ottawa Senators in Las Vegas.
Nicolas Roy and Nicolas Hague also notched goals for the Golden Knights, while Adin Hill made 35 saves on 39 shots.
Linus Ullmark, who had been sidelined for the Senators' last four games with an injury, returned to the net and made 22 saves in the loss. Adam Gaudette scored twice and Drake Batherson and Claude Giroux each contributed a goal and an assist for Ottawa.
Hertl tied the game at 4-4 with a power play goal, slipping a pass from Mark Stone between the legs of Ullmark with just over three minutes remaining. Kolesar then scored the go-ahead goal just one minute later, and Barbashev sealed the victory with an empty-netter, his second goal of the game and seventh of the season.
In other NHL action, the Nashville Predators overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2, with Brady Skjei scoring the game-winning goal on a power play in the third period. The New York Islanders also needed overtime to secure a 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils, with Bo Horvat scoring the game-winner for the Islanders. And the Edmonton Oilers shut out the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0, with Evan Bouchard and Stuart Skinner leading the way with a goal and an assist each.
