Blue Jackets ink F Kirill Marchenko to 3-year deal

Kirill Marchenko, a forward who is a restricted free agent, signed a contract worth $11.55 million over three years with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday.
The agreement will cover the 2026-27 season.
During the previous season, the 24-year-old Marchenko played on the final year of his two-year entry level deal and recorded 42 points (23 goals, 19 assists) in 78 games.
According to Columbus general manager Don Waddell, \"Kirill Marchenko has been a crucial player for the Blue Jackets in his first two NHL seasons, and it was important for us to reach an agreement to keep him in Columbus.\" Waddell added, \"He possesses size, skill, and the ability to score goals, and he will continue to be a significant part of our core group going forward.\"
Since being drafted by the Blue Jackets in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Marchenko has accumulated 67 points (44 goals, 23 assists) in 137 career games.
