Avalanche Extend Contract of F Logan O'Connor for Six Years

Avalanche ink six-year extension with F Logan O'Connor

The Colorado Avalanche and forward Logan O\'Connor reached an agreement on a six-year contract extension on Monday.

The extension will take effect in the 2025-26 season and will continue through 2030-31. While the team did not disclose the financial details, multiple sources reported that the deal is worth an average of $2.5 million per year, totaling $15 million.

At 28 years old, O\'Connor had a career-best season with 13 goals and 25 points, despite only playing in 57 games due to a hip surgery.

A beloved player among fans, O\'Connor joined the Avalanche as an undrafted free agent after playing for the University of Denver. In his 263 games with the team, he has recorded 82 points (35 goals, 47 assists), 329 hits, 168 blocks, and 139 takeaways.

According to Avalanche general manager Chris MacFarland, \"We are extremely pleased to have \'OC\' signed for the next seven years. He is a tireless worker and competitor who brings energy and toughness to every game. His speed and skating abilities make him a versatile player, and he is one of our top penalty killers.
