"LIV Golf Promotions: Solely the Champion Earns a Permanent Position"
Professional golfers and elite amateurs vying for a chance to participate in LIV Golf League tournaments in 2025 will gather in Saudi Arabia this December for LIV Golf Promotions, hoping to secure a spot in the league and The International Series.
LIV Golf announced on Thursday its plans for the second edition of the event, where players will compete for a prize of $1.5 million.
The tournament, which spans three days and four rounds, will take place from December 12-14 at Riyadh Golf Club. The top finisher at the end of the 36-hole final day will receive $200,000 and earn a spot on the LIV Golf League 2025 roster. The top 10 finishers, including ties, will also gain entry into all events in The International Series next year, sanctioned by the Asian Tour.
In addition, players who were relegated from the LIV Golf League after the 2024 season and those without a team commitment for 2025 who finished between 25th and 48th place in the 2024 standings are eligible to participate in the event.
According to Greg Norman, LIV Golf's commissioner and CEO, players who have consistently competed in the LIV Golf League have given positive feedback, citing the energy, camaraderie, and global competition as creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience to pursue their dreams at the highest level.
Norman also stated, \"LIV Golf Promotions offers another opportunity for rising players and top competitors from around the world to have a life-changing season with LIV, and we are excited to see who will rise to the challenge in Riyadh this year.\"
