Keegan Bradley Hopes for Tiger Woods' Active Participation in 2025 Ryder Cup

Keegan Bradley acknowledged on Wednesday that he had a brief discussion with Tiger Woods regarding the latter's involvement in the 2025 Ryder Cup.
Unfortunately, the timing of their conversation was not ideal as they were both competing in the Open Championship and had more pressing matters to attend to.
Bradley stated, "I have expressed to Tiger that I want him to be as involved as he wants to be. However, with the Open Championship happening, we haven't had much opportunity to discuss it."
He added, "We both have our own responsibilities and I don't want to distract Tiger from his. We still have 14 months until the Ryder Cup, so we have plenty of time to talk about it."
Speaking of time, Bradley had three weeks to keep the news of his captaincy a secret before it was officially announced.
"I didn't tell anyone. I was processing the news myself and figuring out a plan with my family. I wanted to be the one to inform Europe's captain, Luke Donald, so I kept it quiet," he shared.
"It was nice to have some time to make plans without anyone knowing, but now that it's out in the open, it's been helpful as well."
Bradley, 38, wasted no time in naming Webb Simpson as his first vice captain on Tuesday.
He will announce additional vice captains at a later date for the event, which is scheduled for September 26-28, 2025 at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York.
Team Europe is the current Ryder Cup titleholder, defeating the American team 16 1/2-11 1/2 in 2023 at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club near Rome.
