The American Family Insurance Championship, part of the Champions Tour, will undergo changes in 2025.

The tournament, taking place from June 6-8, will now be held at Madison's TPC Wisconsin and will feature a new team format.

According to tournament host and course co-designer Steve Stricker, "With this tournament moving to a new course in 2025, it's an ideal time to try a new format as well."

Stricker, who has played in and served as captain at both the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup, believes that the team format adds an exciting level of competition to the game. He also expressed gratitude for the support of the Madison community and believes that the new format and course will continue to provide a unique experience for fans.

The top 38 players on the tour will select their partners and compete over 54 holes for a $3 million purse. The winners will share the top prize of $600,000. The first and third days will follow a best-ball format, while the second day will be a team scramble.

According to tour president Miller Brady, "The new team format...will bring an exciting dynamic to the tournament." He also expressed excitement for the event's first year at TPC Wisconsin, stating that the new team competition promises thrilling golf at a fantastic new venue. Brady believes that the week will be unforgettable for players and fans alike.
