"Steelers Re-Sign WR Tarik Black Due to Roman Wilson's Injury"

Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Roman Wilson may be sidelined for several weeks due to an ankle injury, prompting the team to sign Tarik Black and release defensive tackle Jonathan Marshall on Wednesday.
Wilson sustained the injury during Tuesday's practice and had to be taken off the field on a cart. However, according to multiple reports, tests showed that it was not a serious injury. He was a top contender to be the team's second receiver this season, behind George Pickens.
The Steelers were already facing depth concerns at the wide receiver position. If Wilson is out for an extended period, Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin III will likely join Pickens in three-wide receiver sets.
Black had a tryout with the Steelers in July and has previously played for the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, and Indianapolis Colts. He played college football at both Texas and Michigan.
Marshall joined the Steelers in 2022 and spent last season on the practice squad.
