Season-ending Injury: Bengals Defensive End Cam Sample Sidelined with Achilles Injury

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Cam Sample will be absent for the 2024 season due to a torn Achilles, according to head coach Zac Taylor.

The 24-year-old Sample sustained the injury during 11-on-11 drills on Thursday and had to be taken off the field on a cart.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2021 draft from Tulane, Sample started in two of his 17 games played last season. He recorded 29 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks, and eight quarterback hits.

Throughout his three seasons with the Bengals, Sample has accumulated a total of 68 tackles, five sacks, and 20 quarterback hits in 47 games, with three starts.
