"Seahawks Extend Contract of Quarterback Drew Lock, According to Reports"
Drew Lock will be making a comeback as the backup quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, according to reports from various media outlets on Friday.
Lock, who is now 28 years old, is set to sign a two-year contract worth $5 million, as reported by ESPN. This comes after his one-season stint with the New York Giants in 2024.
During his time with the Giants, Lock played in eight games and had a record of 1-4 in five starts. He threw for 1,071 yards, six touchdowns, and five interceptions, while also scoring two rushing touchdowns.
Throughout his five seasons in the NFL, Lock has played for the Denver Broncos (2019-21), Seahawks (2022-23), and Giants. As a starter, he has a record of 10-18 and has completed 59.6% of his passes for 6,354 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions. He has also scored seven rushing touchdowns.
Lock was originally drafted by the Broncos in the second round of the 2019 draft and was later traded to the Seahawks in 2022 as part of the deal that sent Russell Wilson to Denver.
