"Monday Night Football Week 12: Previewing Chargers vs. Ravens with Prop Bets and Predictions"
Siblings and head coaches take center stage on Monday night with the highly anticipated HarBowl in Los Angeles.
The Harbaugh brothers will face off for the first time since Super Bowl XLVII, nearly 12 years ago, as John leads his Baltimore Ravens (7-4) into California to take on the Chargers (7-3).
Both teams are currently in the running for a wildcard spot in the AFC, making this a crucial matchup with potential tiebreaker implications for playoff seeding. However, even with a loss, both teams still have a strong chance of making the postseason.
The Ravens currently hold the No. 6 seed in the playoff picture, just one spot behind the Chargers who have played one less game due to a bye week. Interestingly, none of the nine teams currently outside of the AFC playoff picture have more than six wins this season.
Despite their strong offense, the Ravens' defense has shown some vulnerabilities, ranking 25th in yards allowed per game. This could be a problem against the Chargers' productive running game, led by former Ravens backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards.
The Ravens' struggles defending the run could also open up opportunities for Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert to make big plays through the air. Herbert has been thriving in play-action and has the potential to surpass 300 passing yards in this matchup.
According to Pro Football Focus, the Ravens' secondary has the lowest grade of all three levels of their defense and has allowed the second-highest number of explosive passing plays this season. This could play into the Chargers' aggressive downfield strategy, making their team total of 23.5 points a strong pick.
