Jaguars' coach 'optimistic' about RB Travis Etienne's return
Travis Etienne, the running back for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is on track to make his return to the field after missing two games.
According to Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson, Etienne will likely play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The 25-year-old has been out due to a hamstring injury sustained during the Jaguars' loss to the Chicago Bears on October 13th.
Etienne, who has achieved 1,000 rushing yards in each of the past two seasons, has recorded 230 yards and two touchdowns in six games this season. He has also caught 16 passes for 91 yards.
Tank Bigsby, a second-year running back, currently leads the Jaguars in carries (85), rushing yards (493), and rushing touchdowns (four).
Selected as the 25th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Etienne has accumulated 3,246 yards and 19 touchdowns in 40 career games (35 starts).
