"Broncos Acquire Ex-Panthers Safety Sam Franklin Jr."

The Denver Broncos acquired the services of unrestricted free agent safety Sam Franklin Jr. on Friday. The specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Franklin, who is now 29 years old, spent the first five years of his professional football career with the Carolina Panthers after going undrafted in 2020.

In the 2024 season, he recorded eight tackles in 10 games, as he was sidelined for the first seven games due to a broken foot.
