DeAndre Hopkins, Titans' Wide Receiver, Back at Practice After Knee Injury
Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins took part in practice on Wednesday, marking a positive step in his recovery from a knee injury he sustained in late July.
Hopkins was expected to be out for four-to-six weeks, but now he is making progress in the right direction as the Titans prepare for their season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Although Tennessee coach Brian Callahan did not confirm that Hopkins will play against the Bears, he expressed satisfaction with the performance of the three-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl selection.
"He resembles Hop," Callahan said. "He has been very communicative about his physical condition and has been diligent in his preparation to be ready for the game. He has met all our expectations in terms of communication and process, which is a positive sign."
Last season, Hopkins led the Titans in catches (75), receiving yards (1,057), and receiving touchdowns (seven) in 17 games (16 starts).
In his career, the 32-year-old has recorded 928 receptions for 12,355 yards and 78 touchdowns in 162 games (161 starts) for the Houston Texans (2013-19), Arizona Cardinals (2020-22), and Titans.
He was drafted 27th overall by the Texans in the 2013 NFL Draft after playing college football at Clemson.
