'Cardinals Extend C Hjalte Froholdt's Contract for 2 More Years'
The Arizona Cardinals have announced a two-year extension with center Hjalte Froholdt on Wednesday.
The terms of the deal, which will run through 2026, were not disclosed. However, according to NFL Network, the contract is worth $12 million with $8 million guaranteed.
Froholdt, who celebrated his 28th birthday on Tuesday, started all 17 games and played in 99 percent of the offensive snaps during his first season with the Cardinals in 2023.
Originally from Denmark, Froholdt was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2019 draft out of the University of Arkansas.
He appeared in eight games for the Patriots in 2020 and played in 23 games, starting six, for the Cleveland Browns from 2021 to 2022 before joining the Cardinals.
