Alec Anderson, Offensive Lineman for the Bills, Admitted to Hospital for Heat-Related Sickness

Alec Anderson, an offensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday due to experiencing symptoms of a heat-related illness during practice, as announced by the team.

After being transported to the hospital in an ambulance, Anderson was contacted by the Bills' medical staff, general manager Brandon Beane, and head coach Sean McDermott via phone. The team reported that Anderson was in good spirits.

The 24-year-old Anderson is expected to be discharged from the hospital later in the day.

The Bills hold their training camp at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, N.Y. According to AccuWeather, the temperature was forecasted to reach 90 degrees with 90 percent humidity on Tuesday.

Anderson, who stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 305 pounds, has been with the Bills for three seasons after going undrafted from UCLA in 2022. He has yet to make an appearance in a regular-season game.
