"49ers Running Back Christian McCaffrey 'Thriving' Following Challenging 2024 Season"

Limited to only four games last year due to injuries, the San Francisco 49ers' standout running back Christian McCaffrey has fully recovered and is now participating in the team's offseason program, which kicked off on Tuesday.
McCaffrey, who is now 28 years old, missed the first eight games of the 2024 season because of bilateral Achilles tendinitis, and then sat out the final five games due to a posterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee.
In an interview with reporters, McCaffrey shared, "I'm feeling fantastic. It has been a smooth journey, with a lot of hard work. When the injury happened in Buffalo (during Week 13), I was a bit worried. But my goal was to not miss a single day of OTAs and to be back and ready to go without any hindrances, and I have achieved that."
A two-time All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowl selection, McCaffrey was able to train at full speed early in the offseason.
"It has been an amazing experience," McCaffrey added. "Everything has been going really well, and I am excited to be back here."
Last season, McCaffrey finished with 50 carries for 202 yards and 15 receptions for 146 yards, but he did not score any touchdowns.
In 2023, McCaffrey led the entire NFL with 2,203 yards from scrimmage, 21 touchdowns from scrimmage, and 1,459 rushing yards, earning him the title of NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
Throughout his career, McCaffrey has accumulated 6,387 rushing yards on 1,347 carries (averaging 4.7 yards per attempt) and has scored 52 touchdowns on the ground. He has also caught 524 passes for 4,466 yards and 29 touchdowns.
