Alabama will be missing wide receiver/punt returner Cole Adams for the remainder of the year due to a lower-body injury, as announced by coach Kalen DeBoer on Monday.

Adams sustained the injury early in Alabama's 34-0 victory over Missouri on October 26. The team is coming back from a bye week.

\"Unfortunately, he will be out for the season due to his injury,\" DeBoer stated. \"We had to address this last week and it's a shame because Cole is a player who gives his all on the field.\"

DeBoer also mentioned that Adams had previously suffered an injury earlier in the season, but the redshirt freshman displayed great determination and resilience in his recovery.

In seven games this season, Adams has recorded six receptions for 94 yards. He is also the leading punt returner for the Crimson Tide with 11 returns for 58 yards.

On Saturday, No. 11 Alabama (6-2, 3-2 Southeastern) will travel to face No. 14 LSU (6-2, 3-1).
