'NFL Draft Prospect: ECU Cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. Announces Decision to Enter Draft'
Shavon Revel Jr., a promising first-round candidate, announced his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft for East Carolina on Friday.
Despite suffering a torn ACL in September during practice, Revel still had one year of eligibility left.
The senior shared on social media, \"After an amazing journey at East Carolina, I am officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.\" He also expressed his gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support and energy at every game, and his excitement to continue representing ECU on Sundays.
During this season, Revel made two interceptions in three games, including a 50-yard touchdown return against Appalachian State on Sept. 14.
In his three years with the Pirates, Revel accumulated three interceptions, 15 passes defensed, and 70 tackles in 24 games. He was recognized as a second-team All-American Athletic Conference player last season.
According to ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr., Revel is ranked as the second-best cornerback and the 23rd overall prospect in the 2025 draft class.
