"LSU Running Back John Emery to Miss Entire Season Due to Torn ACL, According to Report"

"LSU Running Back John Emery (ACL Tear) Ruled Out for Rest of Season - Report"

According to The Advocate, LSU's running back John Emery is predicted to be out for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL. This news was reported on Wednesday.

The injury occurred during Tuesday's practice, just two days after Emery's impressive performance of 10 rushes for 61 yards in the Tigers' 27-20 loss to Southern California. This was his first game back after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee during LSU's victory over Florida last season on November 11th.

The No. 18 Tigers (0-1) will attempt to bounce back on Saturday as they face FCS opponent Nicholls in their home opener in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Since joining LSU in 2019, Emery has accumulated 1,123 yards and 14 touchdowns. However, he was unable to play in the 2021 season due to academic reasons.

In light of Emery's absence, Josh Williams and Kaleb Jackson are expected to take on a larger workload. Williams had nine carries for 33 yards and Jackson rushed five times for 14 yards in the game against the Trojans.
