'Las Vegas chosen as location for 2027 College Football Playoff Championship'
The National Championship game for College Football Playoff will be held in Las Vegas in 2027.
On Friday, the CFP announced that the winner of the 2026 season will be crowned at Allegiant Stadium on January 25, 2027.
Rich Clark, executive director of the College Football Playoff, stated, "Fans of college football all over the country will be ecstatic to hear this news."
Clark also added, "Las Vegas has proven to be a fantastic host for events with its impressive venues and endless energy. It is the perfect stage to determine the top college football team in 2027."
Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, promised an exceptional event both on and off the field.
Hill expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given by the CFP to welcome the best athletes and fans of college football to the city known for its celebrations.
In the first CFP final with a 12-team format, Ohio State defeated Notre Dame 34-23 on Monday in Atlanta.
The next CFP national championship will be held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Allegiant Stadium, the home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders, opened in 2020 and can accommodate 65,000 spectators.
