"Newcomer Aubrey Griffin of the Lynx to Undergo Knee Surgery"

"Knee Surgery Scheduled for Lynx Newcomer F Aubrey Griffin"

The Minnesota Lynx's new rookie forward, Aubrey Griffin, will be undergoing arthroscopic surgery on her left knee, according to the team's announcement.

Griffin, who was selected in the third round of this month's draft, is scheduled to have the procedure on Thursday. No specific timeline for her return has been given.

After winning a national championship this season, Griffin finished her six-year tenure at UConn. She made an average of 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16 games (one start) after coming back in January from a torn ACL in the same knee.

Griffin also sat out the entire 2021-22 season due to back surgery.

During her time with the Huskies (2019-21, 2022-25), she had an average of 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in 126 games (41 starts).
