USC secures commitment from Auburn transfer Chad Baker-Mazara

25-year-old former Auburn guard/forward, Chad Baker-Mazara, declared on Monday that he has committed to Southern Cal for the 2025-26 campaign.
Baker-Mazara, who played for the Tigers' Final Four team last season, made the announcement through a post on X.
After spending two years at Auburn, Baker-Mazara is taking advantage of a temporary waiver that grants an extra year of NCAA eligibility to athletes who have played a season outside of the NCAA. In his case, he played at a junior college before transferring to Auburn.
Prior to his time at Auburn, Baker-Mazara played one season each at Duquesne and San Diego State. He then spent the 2022-23 season at Northwest Florida State. Throughout his 119 games at the Division I level, he has averaged 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.
His most successful season was in 2024-25, where he started in 34 out of 38 games for the Tigers and recorded averages of 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
