Saint Joseph's center Rasheer Fleming announces decision to enter NBA draft

Rasheer Fleming, the tall player from Saint Joseph's, is declaring for the NBA draft according to his agency, Klutch Sports, as reported by ESPN on Friday.

Standing at 6-foot-9, Fleming had a breakout season as a junior, recording career highs of 14.7 points and 8.5 rebounds. He also showed his shooting skills, hitting 39 percent of his 3-point attempts and making a total of 62 shots from beyond the arc, a significant increase from his previous two college seasons.

In the 35 games he played last season, Fleming had an overall field goal percentage of 53.1 percent and was recognized with first-team All-Atlantic 10 honors. He also proved to be a strong defender, blocking 54 shots and stealing the ball 49 times.

Over his college career of 101 games, with 88 starts, Fleming has averaged 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds.

Fleming is expected to be chosen in the middle of the first round of the NBA draft.

The draft is scheduled to take place on June 25-26.
