Alabama forward Derrion Reid announced on Monday that he will be transferring to the University of Oklahoma.

Reid, who stands at 6-feet-8 and weighs 220 pounds, was a highly sought-after five-star recruit and was selected as a McDonald's All-American in the Class of 2024. While he did start three games during his freshman year at Alabama, he primarily came off the bench and played in 24 games for the Crimson Tide.

Throughout the season, Reid averaged 6.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in just 14.1 minutes per game. He also had a strong showing in the NCAA Tournament, scoring 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field in four games.

Oklahoma, who finished with a record of 20-14 last season and were eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, has been actively adding new players through the transfer portal. In addition to Reid, they have also acquired guard Nijel Pack from Miami (who averaged 13.9 points per game last season), forward Tae Davis from Notre Dame (who averaged 15.1 points per game), and guard Xzayvier Brown from Saint Joseph's (who averaged 17.6 points per game).
