Michigan secured a commitment from forward Oscar Goodman, the top international prospect in the Class of 2025.

The New Zealand native, currently playing at the NBA's Global Academy in Australia, announced to ESPN on Wednesday that he will be joining the Wolverines next season.

At 6-foot-8, Goodman is known for his versatility and can play both inside and outside, making him a valuable asset in new head coach Dusty May's perimeter-focused, 5-out offense.

"I was drawn to the team's strong sense of camaraderie and selflessness. It was important for me to be a part of a team with great chemistry, and I could see that all the players truly enjoyed being together," Goodman shared with ESPN.

The NBA Academy has produced two No. 6 picks in the NBA draft in recent years. In 2021, the Oklahoma City Thunder selected Josh Giddey, and in 2022, the Indiana Pacers drafted Bennedict Mathurin, a Montreal native who played for Arizona before entering the draft.

Goodman's recruitment gained momentum after he was named to the All-Tournament First-Team at the U17 FIBA World Cup this summer. He averaged 17 points and 6.3 rebounds, helping New Zealand secure a fourth-place finish.
