"Gonzaga Secures Commitment from Jalen Warley, Formerly of Virginia"
Former Virginia guard Jalen Warley is making a move to Gonzaga, as reported on Monday.
Gonzaga seemed to confirm the transfer by reposting the news on social media. Warley, who has played in 96 college games (with 58 starts), will take a redshirt this year and spend the 2025-26 season in Spokane, Washington.
Warley spent three years at Florida State before transferring to Virginia for the 2024-25 season. He was granted permission to enter the transfer portal again after coach Tony Bennett's unexpected retirement just three weeks before the season.
During his time with the Seminoles, Warley averaged 6.0 points, 2.9 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. His junior year was his most successful, with 7.5 points, 2.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game over 33 appearances (32 starts).
