Asa Newell, a towering player from Georgia, has officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, according to his representatives who confirmed the news to ESPN on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-11 freshman, who started in 33 games for the Bulldogs this season, averaged 15.4 points and 6.9 rebounds.
According to ESPN's draft projections, Newell is ranked as the 21st top prospect.

Newell's impressive performance earned him a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team and helped Georgia (20-13) break a 10-year drought in making it to the NCAA Tournament.
The 19-year-old power forward had a field goal percentage of 54.3 and was second on the team with 32 blocks.
The NBA draft combine is scheduled to take place in Chicago from May 11-18, with the draft set to happen in New York on June 25-26.
