"Former Colorado State Guard Kyan Evans Commits to North Carolina"

Former Colorado State guard Kyan Evans announced on various social media platforms that he will be transferring to North Carolina.

The 6-foot-2 Evans spent two years playing for the Rams and was a starter in all 36 games this past season, with an average of 10.6 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.9 rebounds.

Evans played a key role in helping the Rams advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, where they ultimately lost to Maryland on a game-winning shot.

After the season, Colorado State coach Niko Medved left for Minnesota, leading to speculation that Evans would also depart. However, according to the Pioneer Press, Evans received an NIL offer from North Carolina worth over $2 million.

Last season, Evans had an impressive 3-point shooting percentage of 44.6% (70 of 157).

Evans will be a valuable addition to the team, especially with the loss of 2023-24 All-American guard RJ Davis, who has exhausted his college eligibility.
