Former UNC Greensboro guard Donovan Atwell announced on Sunday that he will be transferring to Texas Tech.

Atwell shared a photo of himself wearing a Red Raiders' jersey on Instagram and also shared the news on various social media platforms.

The 6-foot-5 guard is known for his exceptional 3-point shooting skills, having made a total of 211 3-pointers in his three seasons at Greensboro, with 189 of those coming in the past two seasons. He boasts a career 3-point percentage of 39.3.

Last season, Atwell averaged 13.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 32 games for Greensboro. He also set a new career-high with 96 made 3-pointers, surpassing his previous record of 89.

Texas Tech had a successful season, making it to the Elite Eight before losing to eventual NCAA champion Florida with a score of 84-79.
