Golden State Warriors Secure Top Spot in NBA Cup Standings

Andrew Wiggins scored a season-high 30 points, while Stephen Curry contributed 19 as the Golden State Warriors secured first place in West Group C of the NBA Cup with a 112-108 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.

Draymond Green added 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for the Warriors, who now hold a 3-0 record in the tournament. Golden State will advance to the NBA Cup quarterfinals on either December 10 or 11.

Trey Murphy III had a season-best 24 points and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl recorded a 19-point, 12-rebound double-double off the bench for the Pelicans, who fell to a 1-2 record in Cup play.

Giannis Antetokounmpo notched his second triple-double of the season with 37 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks led wire-to-wire against the Indiana Pacers in an NBA Cup game.

Damian Lillard recorded 24 points and 12 assists for his third straight double-double, helping Milwaukee secure their third consecutive win. The Bucks have now won five of their last six games since starting the season with a 2-8 record, and hold a 2-0 record in the NBA Cup.

Indiana trailed by as many as 25 points in the third quarter and suffered their fifth loss in their last six games. The Pacers shot just 11 of 34 (32.4 percent) from beyond the arc and now hold a 0-2 record in the NBA Cup.

Mavericks 123, Nuggets 120

Naji Marshall scored a career-high 26 points, P.J. Washington had 22, and the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Denver Nuggets in an NBA Cup West Group C game.
