Jazz F Taylor Hendricks fractures fibula, dislocates ankle

Utah's Taylor Hendricks suffered a fractured right fibula and dislocated ankle during the third quarter of the Jazz's 110-102 defeat against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.
The injuries occurred with 5:59 left in the third, as Hendricks' right leg got tangled up under him while falling to the floor on offense.
According to a report from ESPN, Hendricks will be out for the remainder of the season and had to be taken off the court on a stretcher.
Utah coach Will Hardy expressed his disappointment, saying, "That's tough to swallow. He's worked so hard and he's a great kid. Our focus right now is on his health and keeping his spirits up as he begins his recovery. These are the moments in sports that are tough."
Before leaving the game against Dallas, Hendricks had contributed two points, three rebounds, and two assists in 21 minutes of play.
The 20-year-old Hendricks, who was drafted ninth overall by the Jazz in the 2023 draft out of UCF, is in his second NBA season.
In three games this season, all of which he started, Hendricks averaged 4.7 points and five rebounds.
