"Sixers Acquire Experienced Playoffs Proven Reggie Jackson"

On Tuesday, the Philadelphia 76ers officially signed Reggie Jackson, a veteran guard with 13 years of experience in the league.

While the terms of the deal were not disclosed, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that it was a one-year contract worth $3.3 million.

According to Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, Jackson brings valuable leadership and experience to the team's backcourt. He also praised Jackson's dynamic offensive skills, which have been evident throughout his career.

Jackson, who is 34 years old, recently reached a buyout agreement with the Charlotte Hornets and cleared waivers. He was acquired by the Hornets from the Denver Nuggets on July 6, along with three future second-round draft picks, in exchange for cash considerations and a 2025 second-round pick.

In the 2020-2021 season, Jackson averaged 10.2 points and 3.8 assists while shooting 35.9 percent from the 3-point range in all 82 games for the Nuggets.

Having won an NBA championship with the Nuggets in the 2022-2023 season, Jackson has played in a total of 853 games (starting 529 of them) for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, and Nuggets. Throughout his career, he has averaged 12.6 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.8 rebounds.

Jackson was selected by the Thunder with the 24th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.
