The National Basketball Association has imposed a $50,000 fine on Anthony Edwards for using inappropriate language and making an indecent gesture towards a spectator during the Minnesota Timberwolves' 117-95 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday.

According to the league, the incident occurred during the third quarter, with 4:33 remaining, while the Timberwolves were leading 85-61 in the first game of their Western Conference first-round series.

Upon realizing that his teammate Rudy Gobert was being taunted by a fan, Edwards intervened and revealed Gobert's salary to the fan. As the taunting persisted, Edwards turned towards the spectators, grabbed his crotch, and made a vulgar comment.

In the first game, Edwards contributed 22 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists, and will aim to give Minnesota a two-game advantage on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
