Chicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball is once again sidelined, this time due to a sprained right wrist.

According to Ball, an MRI confirmed the injury and he will be out for at least 10 days.

The injury occurred during Monday's game against Memphis when Ball fell while attempting a steal in the first quarter. This was only his third game since January 2022.

Ball stated, \"If I continue to play on it while it's still swollen, it could worsen to a Grade 3 and require surgery.\" ESPN reported that the MRI showed a sprain between Grades 1 and 2. Ball added, \"I'm trying to avoid that and let the swelling go down. Hopefully, I can tape it up and get back to playing.\"

Despite the injury, Ball played through the pain and recorded six points and six assists in 18 minutes.

He said, \"It's an unfortunate moment, but these things happen. I'm hoping to recover as quickly as possible and get back to business.\"

In his three games off the bench for Chicago this season, the 27-year-old is averaging 4.7 points, 3.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 15.7 minutes.

Drafted second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017, Ball missed the entire 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons due to multiple surgeries on his left knee.

If the 10-day timeline holds, Ball will miss six games.
