Jalen Suggs of Orlando scored 23 points, while Moritz Wagner and Tristan da Silva added 19 and 12 points respectively. Franz Wagner also contributed 11 assists and shot 13-for-26 from the field, including 5-for-9 in the fourth quarter.

Goga Bitadze grabbed 15 rebounds as the Magic secured their seventh win in eight games.

Anthony Davis had an impressive performance for the Lakers with 39 points and nine rebounds, but missed 3 of 4 free-throw attempts in the final 27 seconds and a potential game-winning 18-foot jumper at the buzzer. Los Angeles struggled from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, shooting just 3-for-9.

In other games, the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Utah Jazz 126-118 thanks to Harrison Barnes' 25 points and 10 rebounds, and Chris Paul's 13 points and 10 assists. The Jazz were led by Lauri Markkanen's 27 points, but it wasn't enough to avoid their fourth consecutive loss.

The Charlotte Hornets narrowly escaped a comeback from the Detroit Pistons, winning 123-121 in overtime. Brandon Miller had a career-high 38 points for the Hornets, while LaMelo Ball added 35 points and nine assists. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 27 points and 10 assists.

The Toronto Raptors also secured a win, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-105. RJ Barrett led the way with 31 points, while Scottie Barnes added 17 points and six assists in his return from injury. Anthony Edwards had 26 points for the Timberwolves, but it wasn't enough to break their 20-game losing streak in Toronto.
