'Hawks newcomer Nikola Durisic has foot surgery'

Rookie forward Nikola Durisic of the Atlanta Hawks is currently in recovery after undergoing surgery to fix his fractured left foot, as announced by the team on Wednesday.

The second-round pick for 2024 had a procedure done on Monday by Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C. to repair his left fifth metatarsal bone.

Durisic sustained the injury during a Summer League game against San Antonio on July 14 in Las Vegas. The Hawks will provide an update on his condition in November.

The 20-year-old player from Belgium was chosen by the Miami Heat as the No. 43 overall pick last month and was later traded to Atlanta on draft night.
