"Grizzlies Extend Contract of G Luke Kennard Through 2024-25 Season: Report"

According to reports from ESPN, the Memphis Grizzlies have re-signed guard Luke Kennard for a one-year contract worth $11 million.

In the 2023-24 season, Kennard, who is now 28 years old, averaged 11.0 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.9 rebounds while shooting an impressive 45.0% from beyond the arc in 39 games, 22 of which he started.

Known for his sharpshooting abilities, Kennard has a career 3-point percentage of 43.9% and has led the NBA in 3-point percentage for two consecutive seasons in 2021-22 (44.9%) and 2022-23 (49.4%).

Throughout his career, Kennard has maintained averages of 10.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 395 games, 110 of which he started, for the Detroit Pistons (2017-20), Los Angeles Clippers (2020-23), and Grizzlies.

Drafted by the Pistons with the 12th overall pick in 2017, Kennard was acquired by the Grizzlies in a three-team trade in February 2023.
