'Celtics' Star Player Jayson Tatum (right wrist) Unlikely to Play in Game 2 Against Magic'

As the Boston Celtics get ready for Game 2 of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference, they will likely have to play without star player Jayson Tatum on Wednesday.
The All-Star small forward landed awkwardly on his right wrist early in the fourth quarter after a flagrant foul by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Despite briefly staying on the floor, Tatum continued playing and scored 17 points in 40 minutes.
Although Boston coach Joe Mazzulla initially stated that Tatum's status was day-to-day, the Celtics have now listed him as doubtful for Game 2 due to a right distal radius bone bruise.
Tatum informed reporters that his X-ray results were negative and reassured fans that he was feeling better.
"I just landed on it," Tatum explained. "It was throbbing for a moment, but then it went away."
As the top scorer for the Celtics in the 2024 NBA Finals, Tatum was hoping to lead his team to a repeat championship and become the first team since the Golden State Warriors in 2017-18 to win back-to-back titles.
