Cavaliers ink Jarrett Allen to 3-year maximum contract extension

According to reports from ESPN, the Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to a three-year maximum contract extension worth $91 million with center Jarrett Allen.

The 26-year-old had a career-best season with averages of 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in 77 starts for the Cavs last year. He also earned his first All-Star selection with Cleveland in the 2021-22 season.

In his 486 career games (421 starts) with the Brooklyn Nets (2017-21) and the Cavs, Allen has averaged 12.7 points and 9.1 rebounds. He was the 22nd overall pick in the 2017 draft by the Nets.

Joining Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley, Allen becomes the third player from the Cavs to sign a contract extension this summer.
