"Yankees reinstate OF Trent Grisham in preparation for matchup against Jays"

The New York Yankees activated Trent Grisham off the paternity list Thursday.
The move occurred one day after infielder Jorbit Vivas was sent down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
The Yankees had a day off on Thursday before starting a three-game home series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday.
Grisham, who is 28 years old, has been the starting center fielder in 13 out of the 20 games he has played this season. He has a batting average of .320, with six home runs and 13 RBIs.
Throughout his seven seasons in the major leagues, he has a batting average of .216, with 76 home runs and 259 RBIs in 643 games. He has played for the Milwaukee Brewers (2019), San Diego Padres (2020-23), and Yankees.
Grisham was awarded a Gold Glove with the Padres in 2020 and 2022.
Vivas, who is 24 years old, did not get a chance to play in a game after being called up on Monday to take Grisham's spot on the roster. He has a batting average of .342, with two home runs and 14 RBIs in 20 games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season.
