The Mets avoided their third straight loss and logged their 11th walk-off win of the season. Lindor did not play due to a lower back injury, but the Braves' loss to the Dodgers gave New York a one-game lead in the race for the third National League wild-card spot.

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-2, with Contreras doubling home two runs and Civale allowing just one run in five-plus innings. Rea earned his first career save for the Brewers, while Suarez allowed three runs in five innings for the Phillies.

Freeman's three-run homer sparked a six-run seventh inning for the Los Angeles Dodgers in a 9-0 win over the Atlanta Braves. Yamamoto pitched four scoreless innings for the Dodgers in his return from injury, and Phillips earned the win with a perfect fifth inning.

The Chicago Cubs beat the Oakland Athletics 9-2, with Imanaga pitching six quality innings and Swanson hitting a home run and driving in four runs. Rooker homered and had two RBIs for the Athletics.

The Detroit Tigers rallied from a 4-0 deficit to beat the Kansas City Royals 7-6, with Vierling's RBI single in the ninth inning securing the win. Meadows, Torkelson, and McKinstry each had two hits for the Tigers, while Witt Jr. hit a grand slam for the Royals.
