The Cleveland Guardians brought up southpaw Logan Allen from Triple-A Columbus, while right-hander Connor Gillispie was sent down to Columbus.

Allen, 25, is scheduled to pitch in Monday's home game against the Arizona Diamondbacks due to starter Tanner Bibee's shoulder injury. This season, Allen has recorded a record of 8-4 with a 5.67 earned run average in 18 starts for Cleveland.

Throughout the past two seasons, Allen has started 42 games and has a record of 15-12 with a 4.57 ERA.

Gillispie, 26, made his debut in the major leagues on Sunday and allowed one run with two walks and two hits in three innings against the Baltimore Orioles.
