"Orioles Claim Victory Against Blue Jays with Jackson Holliday's Grand Slam: MLB Recap"

Highly-touted prospect Jackson Holliday smashed a grand slam in the fifth inning, marking his first career home run since returning to the major leagues. The Baltimore Orioles ultimately defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 10-4 in their Wednesday afternoon matchup.

Holliday, who struggled during his brief stint in the majors earlier this year, was called up from Triple-A Norfolk. Despite going 0-for-2 earlier in the game, he came through with the game-changing hit off of reliever Yerry Rodriguez to extend Baltimore's lead to 4-3.

In addition to Holliday's grand slam, Colton Cowser also homered for the Orioles. However, they lost All-Star third baseman Jordan Westburg to a fractured hand after he was hit by a pitch from Rodriguez in the fifth inning.

Pitcher Grayson Rodriguez earned the win for Baltimore, allowing four runs and striking out six over six innings. On the other hand, Paolo Espino took the loss for Toronto after giving up four runs in four innings. The Blue Jays have now lost three of their last four games.

In other MLB action, the Boston Red Sox defeated the Seattle Mariners 3-2 in 10 innings. Rafael Devers led off the bottom of the 10th with a double that brought home Tyler O'Neill for the game-winning run.

The St. Louis Cardinals dominated the Texas Rangers with a final score of 10-1. Former Cardinal Tommy Pham had a successful homecoming, driving in two runs and scoring twice for the home team. Pitcher Michael McGreevy also had a strong debut for St. Louis, allowing just one run in seven innings.

The Miami Marlins earned a 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, thanks in part to a two-run homer from Jake Burger. The Marlins were able to get to Rays pitcher Taj Bradley, who had previously held the longest scoreless innings streak in the majors.

The New York Yankees completed a three-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies with a 6-5 win. DJ LeMahieu had a standout performance, hitting a grand slam and driving in a career-high six runs for the Yankees.

The Minnesota Twins defeated the New York Mets 8-3, with pitcher Pablo Lopez leading the way with six strong innings. The Royals also swept their series against the Chicago White Sox, with Freddy Fermin and Salvador Perez powering their offense.

The Atlanta Braves took the rubber match against the Milwaukee Brewers with a 6-2 victory. Austin Riley's two-run single in the seventh inning proved to be the game-winning hit.

The Arizona Diamondbacks held off the Washington Nationals for a 5-4 win, thanks in part to a four-run sixth inning. Geraldo Perdomo, Corbin Carroll, and Jose Herrera all had RBI hits for Arizona.
